What the practice does
Three typologies, and none of them is a sideline.
Luxury residential
Custom homes across Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and coastal California. The practice's largest body of work and the one most of the awards come from.
Boutique resorts
Hospitality architecture where the building has to work as a business as well as a place, including landmark Arizona properties.
Golf clubhouses
Clubhouse and amenity buildings, which are a specialism rather than a sideline: circulation, sightlines and event capacity all at once.
Bring the site, or the idea of one.
The most useful conversation happens before the land is bought, because grade, setbacks and view corridors decide more than anything chosen later.
Before you call
The questions that come first.
Do you work outside Arizona?
Yes. The practice runs from Scottsdale and Beverly Hills, and coastal California work is a standing part of the portfolio rather than an exception.
At what point should an architect be involved?
Before the land is bought, if the land is not bought yet. Setbacks, grade, view corridors and what a jurisdiction will actually permit decide more about the house than any decision made later.
Do you take on renovations, or only new build?
Both, including substantial reworkings of existing homes. Whether a renovation is worth doing is usually the first honest question, and it is one we will answer before there is a fee attached.
How long does design take?
For a custom residence, schematic through construction documents typically runs several months to a year depending on scope and jurisdiction. Permitting is the variable nobody controls, and it is scoped at the start rather than discovered.
